ELIGIBILITY & ACCEPTANCE:

ENTRY FEE: $695

Official Preliminary to: Miss United States International ®

Must be at least 18 years as of September 30 of the competition year and be no older than 25 as of October 31 of the competition year. Delegates participating in preliminary pageants leading to the Miss United States International® National Pageant may be 17 years of age provided that they reach their 18th birthday prior to September 30th.

Delegates compete equally at the national pageant regardless of status as a preliminary winner or at-large delegate and regardless of title representation.

Entrant agrees to attend the Miss United States International National Pageant® once crowned as the winner of the Miss Florida United States International and further to abide by all the required services, rules and regulations governing this pageant.

Former winners of the Miss United States International® are not eligible to compete for the title.

COMMERCIAL TIE-UP:

Entrant may have a modeling, commercial tie-up, personal management and/or agency contract, which contract however does not include, authorize or permit the use of the name of the Miss United States International National Pageant® or any other registered trademark or trade name of Harrison Productions, LLC or any title designation or reference with respect to the pageant in any manner.

COMPETITION JUDGING

The Miss Florida United States International Pageant will have 3 areas of competition:
*Swimsuit (a one or two-piece)
* Evening Gown
* Interview outfit (suit, pantsuit or business style dress)

Winner receives:
• Eligibility for all prizes and awards (no hidden competition fees)

• Embroidered title sash and crown
• Delegates’ Handbook
• Official documents including cover letters and press release
• Lodging

REFUND POLICY:

All fees paid to Envy Pageant Productions, are NOT REFUNDABLE and NOT TRANSFERABLE in full or in part for under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to entry fees, advertising fees, pageant admission ticket sales fees, guest meal fees.

ENTRY FEE / PAYMENTS:

An entry fee is required to enter the Miss Florida United States International Pageant® as an at-large delegate. The fee amount is $695.00. Delegate may seek sponsors or may pay the entry fee herself. All sponsors are recognized in the Miss Florida United States International Pageant® program book at no charge. Payment may be made by personal check, money order, or cash. Delegates may make payments toward the total entry fee.

The Miss United States International Pageant® is self-supporting and relies solely upon entry fees to cover production expenses. Production expenses include but are not limited to: advertising, hotel rentals, theater rentals, performers’ fees, judges' expenses, staging, supplies, prizes, awards, etc.

A significant percentage of the entry fee is directed back to each delegate in the form of crown, sash, meals, entertainment, parties, gifts, and prizes.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Photography.

Entrant must submit a headshot photo for the Miss Florida United States International Official Program Book. Photos may be emailed to Director@envypageantproductions.com or famemodeltalent@aol.com

OPENING NUMBER /NATIONAL PAGEANT:

The Miss United States International National Pageant® will include a choreographed opening number. Delegates will be provided with an opening number outfit as specified by Harrison Productions, LLC. The opening number is not judged.

SCORING:

Scoring will be conducted on a 10-point scale:

• 9-10 = Excellent
• 7-8 = Very Good
• 5-6 = Good
• 3-4 = Average
• 1-2 = Below Average

AREAS OF COMPETITION:

The competition will consist of two equally weighted categories to determine a Top 15: Evening Gown (50%) and Swimwear (50%). The highest composite scores will determine the semi-finalists.

For the semi-finalists delegates will compete in three categories to determine the finalists: Interview (10%), Evening Gown (45%) and Swimwear (45%). The highest composite scores will determine the finalists.

INTERVIEW:

Miss United States International® title holder must be articulate with excellent social and conversational skills. Titleholder must be able to express herself clearly, diplomatically, and must project a pleasant personality at all times. COMPETITION DETAILS:

• Interviews are conducted panel style. “Panel style” is similar to a press conference.
• Delegate will introduce herself and field questions posed by the panel while standing at a podium at the front of the interview room.
• The interview focuses primarily on delegates' personal information (e.g., hobbies, ambition, etc.) but may include opinion questions that require general knowledge of social and current events.
• Delegates should wear a dress, cocktail suit, or pantsuit for the interview competition.
• Judging criteria: conversational skill, personality, demeanor, beauty, grooming, and fashion sense.

SWIM SUIT:

Miss United States International® must be physically fit, with good muscle tone and body proportion. Miss United States International® must carry herself with confidence and grace. Competition details:

• Delegates will model a 1-piece or 2-piece swimsuit of her own choice
• Swimsuit may have cut-outs, mesh, and/or embellishments
• Delegates must also bring a matching fabric scarf / sarong to model with swimsuit. May be made of any fabric but chiffon or organza are recommended. Scarf / Sarong may be a solid color or a print. Scarf / Sarong does not have to be the same color as the swimsuit - may be a complementary color. The scarf / sarong should be approximately 3' wide and 5'-6' in length. Very short or small sarongs (e.g., the kind the tie at the waist) are not recommended.
• Swimsuit must be in good taste.
• No thongs or rios allowed
• A solid color swimsuit is recommended, but not required
• Shoes with heels of at least 2” are required
• Shoes may be either neutral (e.g., acrylic, taupe, skin-tone) or may match the color of the swimsuit
• Sheer hose may be worn if desired.
• Judging criteria: fitness, modeling, personality, beauty, grooming and fashion sense.

EVENING GOWN:

Miss United States International® must carry herself with dignity, grace, poise and elegance. Judges are not evaluating the cost or designer label of the gown, but rather how well it suits the delegate (e.g., fit, color, style) as well as delegate's on-stage presentation. Competition details:
• Evening gown must be floor length.
• Judging criteria: modeling, personality, beauty, grooming and fashion sense.

Policy regarding ties: The following procedure is used to break ties at all levels:

Each judge will assign the Top 5 finalists a ranking from 1 to 5 (1 = “Winner”, 5 = “4th Runner-Up”.) A ranking of 1st = 5 pts, 2nd = 4 pts, 3rd = 3 pts, 4th = 2 pts, 5th = 1 pt. Points earned from rankings are added to the delegates’ scores.
If the rankings do not resolve the tie(s), the higher individual competition score will determine the higher placement in this order: Interview, Evening Gown, Swimsuit.
In the absence of ties, judges are not asked to provide rankings.

JUDGES:

A minimum of 4 judges will evaluate delegates in the areas of competition described above. Harrison Productions, LLC has sole discretion and complete authority to select judges. Reasonable efforts are made to secure a culturally and professionally diverse panel of judges. Judges' names are not released to delegates prior to arrival at the pageant.
Delegates may not approach the judges or engage in conversation with judges prior to or during the competition. Delegates who are observed approaching a judge or engage in conversation with a judge beyond a brief greeting risk immediate disqualification at the discretion of Harrison Productions, LLC Judges are provided with training and instruction regarding scoring procedures prior to the competition. Judges are expected to sign an Oath of Ethics. A copy of this document will be made available to delegates prior to the pageant.
The decision of the judges is final and not contestable for any reason.

SCORESHEETS / FEEDBACK:

Under no circumstances will delegates have the right to view anyone's scores but their own. Harrison Productions, LLC respects each individual delegate's right to privacy and confidentiality. The master tabulator's sheet is not made public.

ATTIRE:

Delegates provide their own competition attire. You will need an interview outfit, swimsuit and evening gown.

PUBLICITY AND PROMOTION:

By virtue of participation in the Miss Florida United States International®, delegate agrees to allow Envy Pageant Productions the right to use her name, likeness, voice and/or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion now and in the future. Delegate understands that her name, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information may be used on the internet, in print advertising, press releases and merchandise related to the Miss United States International National Pageant® (e.g., t-shirts, tote bags, hats, other apparel, mouse pads, and other promotional materials.) Delegate agrees to release Harrison Productions, LLC from liability for any injury resulting from publicity and promotion. Delegate agrees to waive any and all compensation for use of her name, likeness, voice, and /or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY:

Delegates and their families are permitted to take photos and video during events leading up to the on-stage pageant competition event. Cameras or videography will not be allowed during any on-stage competition events. Individuals who fail to comply with this rule will be asked to leave the venue without benefit of refund for admission ticket. Professional photography and videography will be made available by the Official Miss United States International National Pageant Photographer and Videographer.

STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING AND AGREEMENT CODE OF CONDUCT:

Entrant affirms that she is and will continue to be a person of good moral character; that she has not committed and will not commit any act inconsistent with the highest standards of public morals and conventions or that will reflect unfavorably on the pageant, its representatives, sponsors and/or licensees; during the preliminary or pageant finals, or during her reign should she become a preliminary Winner, at-large delegate or Miss United States International® Titleholder.
Delegate will conduct herself in a courteous, professional manner at all times during the Miss United States International National Pageant® and while representing a Miss United States International™ title. Delegate will not slander or libel other contestants, judges, Harrison Productions, LLC, Envy Pageant Productions, staff or anyone else involved with or connected to the Miss Florida United States International Pageant®.

PUBLICITY AND PROMOTION:

By virtue of participation in the Miss Florida United States International®, delegate agrees to allow Envy Pageant Productions the right to use her name, likeness, voice and/or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion now and in the future. Delegate understands that her name, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information may be used on the internet, in print advertising, press releases and merchandise related to the Miss United States International National Pageant® (e.g.,t-shirts, tote bags, hats, other apparel, mouse pads, and other promotional materials.)
Delegate agrees to release Harrison Productions, LLC from liability for any injury resulting from publicity and promotion. Delegate agrees to waive any and all compensation for use of her name, likeness, voice, and /or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion.

DISQUALIFICATION / TITLE RELINQUISHMENT:

If delegate is disqualified or relinquishes, for any reason, any title awarded to her, all prizes must be returned in full, and in condition received.


If, for any reason, any of the three international winners resign or are disqualified, the 1st runner-up in the appropriate age division will assume the title and all prizes.

NATIONAL WINNER' CONTRACT:

1. If selected as Miss United States International® winner, delegate agrees to sign a contract stating agreement to arrange and make a minimum of 10 appearances throughout her year’s reign. Appearances may include but are not limited to parades; radio, television and newspaper interviews; and public appearances at events. Winner is expected to provide Harrison Productions, LLC with photos of appearances for the Miss United States International National Pageant® website and promotion. If delegate is unwilling to sign the contract and/or unable or unwilling to fulfill the obligations, the title won and all prizes will be awarded to the first runner up.

2. The reign of the overall Miss United States International® will commence immediately after crowning and will end immediately following the crowning of her successor.

3. Miss United States International® titleholder agrees to make monthly contact with Harrison Productions, LLC by phone, letter, fax or e-mail.

4. Miss United States International® agrees to provide Harrison Productions, LLC with photocopies of articles pertaining to her reign and pictures of appearances for the pageant history scrapbook.

5. Miss United States International® agrees that she will not enter any other pageant or compete for any other titles during her year’s reign without the prior written permission from Harrison Productions, LLC. The Miss United States International® title is the overall winner's main pageant-related priority. Winner is expected to give her time and energy to this title and this title only during her year’s reign. Permission for Miss United States International® to participate in other pageants will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

6. Winner may have a modeling, commercial tie-up, personal management and/or agency contract, which contract however does not include, authorize or permit the use of the name of the Miss United States International® or any other registered tradename, trademark or logo of Harrison Productions, LLC, or any title designation or reference with respect to the pageant in any manner.

7. Miss United States International® agrees to attend the next year’s pageant to crown her successor. Winner’s travel, lodging, and meal expenses will be arranged for and paid by Harrison Productions, LLC.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY / RESPONSIBILITY:

a.) Harirson Productions, LLC, its officers, directors, agents and employees are not liable to entrant for anything whatsoever in connection with any preliminary pageant leading to the Miss United States International National Pageant®. Preliminary pageant entrant agrees to look solely to the preliminary Pageant Director with respect to all matters relating to her application, rules, regulations, policies, preparation, rehearsal, performance and selection process, and all other matters relating to the preliminary pageant.

b.) Harrison Productions, LLC, its officers, employees, and pageant personnel are not responsible for accidents, injury or theft incurred at the time of the Miss United States International National Pageant® or travel to and from.

c.) Harrison Productions, LLC is not responsible for negligence or fraud on the part of pageant sponsors, judges, or contract vendors (e.g., photographer, videographer, etc.) who may be providing products or services to delegates at the Miss United States International National Pageant®.

d.) Harrison Productions, LLC is not responsible for negligence or fraud on the part of the host hotel.

e.) Harrison Productions, LLC is not responsible for arranging travel or intervening / resolving disputes surrounding for the pageant competition.

f.) Harrison Productions, LLC is not responsible for providing an interpreter for delegates who do not speak or understand English.

g.) Harrison Productions, LLC is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage caused to any and all prizes, gifts, and awards bestowed upon entrant after these items become the property of entrant. Entrant agrees to incur replacement and/or repair costs to lost, stolen, or damaged items including but not limited to: crown/tiara, sash, plaques, trophies, etc.

AGREEMENT:

By submitting the entry form and fee(s) to Harrison Productions, LLC or Director of any Preliminary Pageant leading to the Miss United States International National Pageant®, delegate agrees to abide by all policies, rules and regulations set forth by Harrison Productions, LLC Participation in the Miss United States International National Pageant® also indicates acceptance and agreement to abide by all policies, rules and regulations set forth by Harrison Productions, LLC Delegate attests that all information submitted to Harrison Productions, LLC is true and accurate. Falsification of information and failure to comply with the policies of Harrison Productions, LLC may result in immediate disqualification and/or forfeiture of prizes won without benefit of refund in full or in part at the sole discretion of Harrison Productions, LLC.
